Psalm 39 vs 1 Guard Your Mouth

3

“Guard Your Mouth”

Meditate this verse and Practice it in your day today life for this whole week.

God Bless You.

Psalm 39 vs 1

I said, “I will watch my ways and keep my tongue from sin; I will put a muzzle on my mouth as long as the wicked are in my presence.”

How should we pray to Jesus or God?

2

Who to pray to.

We pray to God the Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, John 16:23(csb) “In that day you will not ask me anything. Truly I tell you, anything you ask the Father in my name, he will give you.

qu=> Who is Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ is the Son of God, Matthew 3:17:  and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.  Luke 1:30-32, 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 Listen, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son and shall call His name JESUS. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David,

If the bible says Jesus is the son of God then Jesus is God, You are a human right, so you are the son of Adam right, you are also the son of man.
That means Son Of Man is human.

Ok if you have a dog in your family who will the dog obey, as far as the dog is aware that the whole family are its master(human), it will serve everybody.

We are human created by God, God created everything including angles, but to human (Adam and his family) God says I will create them like me. and put them to a place that I myself will like to visit them daily, that is why he put us in the garden of Eden. (Gen. 2 vs 8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed.)

Now that we know who we are, let take a look at John: 1 vs 10 -11

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

Didn’t the bible says God made everything if is so and His word form John 1 vs 10 to say the world was made by him (Jesus) and He (Jesus) was in the world, but the world knew him not.

Please give a minute let me show you this revelation the holy spirit is given me now.

Let say you have a worker that obeys you and one day he disobeyed you and you let her out of where you gave him that was near you to a far place. She tells about you to her children than the children also keep telling about you to generation upon generation but has never seen you before.

Then one day you pay a visit to that generation that is still alive, their mother how knows you are dead and gone, and you did not come with your full glory, told by their mother, how will they recognize you. what they know of you that is not who you are now, the something happy when God told Moses if you see me you will die but I have a place by me that will let you see me. The same God came into this world without his full glory but as He created us, in His image.

Please note here, the God we are serving is a living God, before we where create He was, so far so good we have the family of God, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. This is the God family we are worshipping, they are one Family as I have given you the example of the DOG. The something with us even we let our works give full respect to our family.

Prayer means asking something or talking to God about something, Why don’t we shout God help but we always say SAVE ME JESUS. We are praying to Him to save us.

You do say HOLY SPIRIT have your way now right. You are praying to the Holy Spirit. You do Say I thank you, HEAVENLY FATHER, you are praying to the Father God.

SEVEN DANGEROUS PEOPLE IN EVERY ORGANISATION

3
SEVEN DANGEROU

SEVEN DANGEROUS PEOPLE IN EVERY ORGANISATION YOU MUST KNOW

As a Leader, beware that at one stage or the other in your church, business,  institution, organization or association, you will find yourself dealing with the following groups of people. If you don’t have wisdom to deal with them, your position and efforts are in danger.

1. THOMAS GROUP – John 11:16; 20:24

They walk with you but they don’t really believe in you. Though God can use you in front of them, they are not easily moved they take time to believe in you. These people can delay your vision and they are also not aware they are also delaying themselves. It’s a struggle and a burden to lead people who don’t believe in you.

2. JUDAS  GROUP – Luke 22

They walk with you but they have issues with you when God begins to bless you. They are not happy when things of great value are given to you. In short they are jealous of your success. When elevation comes they will say we are poor in the work place but the Boss is driving a BMW 5 series but we have people that are struggling financially in this workplace. They want you to drive a probox which will make them happy. They have serious issues if your life becomes better and better. They talk as if you don’t  care about the poor. Hear these Leaders,  anyone  who is jealous about your prosperity in your workplace tomorrow he will betray you.

3. ABSALOM  GROUP – Samuel 14:25

You give them opportunity to teach or lead and he begins to see himself as the Leader of the place, he believes he can teach and lead better than you. When he leads, he leads to prove a point that he is better than you,  he won’t even mention you in his conversation. He works behind you to steal the hearts of people so that people will follow him. He will make people to feel they are neglected in your position. He will tell people he is there for them to help them anytime they need help. This one he is in competition with you , he believes he can be a better Leader than you . Tomorrow trust me he will split your followers.

4. KORAH  GROUP- Numbers 16:21

This one will challenge your authority, he believes you are at the same level with everyone and he has issues when others give honor to you. He will say you are honoring this man too much. He has issues when you give instructions, he is rebellious and dangerous because he sees you as someone who is at the same level with him. He believes everyone is professional and everyone is educated so what is so special about you .

5. HAM  GROUP- Genesis 9:20-27

This one he will expose your nakedness, the day you find yourself in a shameful act, He will tell everybody your weaknesses and he will be happy to expose your disaster .

6. GEHAZI  GROUP- 2 Kings 5:20-27

He is with you but he will be collecting money from behind your back. He takes advantage that he is close to the Leader and use that to collect things from people. He borrows money from people and he does not pay them back. He goes to people to ask for financial assistance and make people feel you are not taking good care of him as he serves in the house.

7. DEOTREPHES GROUP- (3 John 1:9–10).

This one is too dangerous, he is famous in the workplace/group/association, he has power and influence and has a voice amongst the people. He speaks malicious words behind your back . He is poisonous, he can come with stories that can totally destroy your image as a Leader. He can come up with serious lies that cause people to leave your group. He will come with stories that you are using their money , you are sleeping with women and using charms to sustain your position. His stories are very harmful and dangerous.

Therefore I pray that God will give you wisdom to deal with all these, because,  no Leader can rise to higher level of his calling until all these have been dealt with in his environment.

Have blissful day.

How To Address the living God when praying

10

How To Address the living God when praying is another way of how quickly you want your prayers to be answered.

Our father how art in Heaven.

Who is a father? A father is a man in relation to his child or children.  (from Google)

Who is God? The creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being. (from Google)

Now we all know who the father is and what they do, and not only that but also we know who God is.

In the relationship between God and servants, there is a great pass where the servant is limited to something that only a child has the right to have. Leviticus 25:55

‘For the sons of Israel are My servants; they are My servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Let me give you some example here:

I have two little boys in our area one call me Dad (father)  and the other calls me Boss because his father calls me that. This two boy, the one who call me Dad will always ask me where are you going Dad, where is Mum (Mother) he can come in and go out of the room without fear because he thinks am his father so he acts a son but the other one will come in within some minutes he is out.

This one who always calls me father always act like a son when he gets in our room.

Let me take you to back in times, in Exodus 19:2- you will read when God told Moses, I’m going to come down in a thick cloud. I will come down with great fire and thunder and earthquake.  Tell everybody not to come near the mountain when I come only you alone can come up the mountain. When the people saw the thunders and the lightings and the thick dark cloud upon the mountain, they all trembled with great fear because they saw God’s awesome display of might.

That is how they see God be a terrifying God, a frightening God.

So when the Lord Jesus Christ on this earth take of that fear and the servant away and bring fatherhood and children hood between us.

The Lord Jesus Christ let us understand in Matthew 6:9-13 English Standard Version (ESV)

Pray then like this:  “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name Your kingdom come, on and on.

Why the Lord Jesus Christ did not tell us to say God in heaven, Hallowed be your name, on and on we go but he told us to say Father in heaven, our Lord Jesus  Christ wants us to come to the father with boldness in Romans 8:15 says For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”.

With all this word the Lord has given us today  I tell you to pray to our Father, by saying Our Father in heaven, I thank you for all that you have done for me and my family, friend everybody that I see near and far for their life and everything you have done for us. You see using the father in your prayer let you ask, as a son, not a servant.

Brother/Sister please lets us acknowledge that God is our Father and address Him us Father and also obey him as a Father us he says to us obey your parents and live a long life.

God richly bless you for reading.

Don’t forget to leave your comments.

Why calling God Father

0

Maybe you have heard, some of your friends and family member call God Father and you don’t know why should there call God, Father. Addressing the living God when praying is another way of how quickly you want your prayers to be answered.

We have many names in the word of God, that is been used to address the Living God.

Examples are;

  1. Elohim Chayim—He is the Living God. (Joshua 3:10),
  2. Jehovah-Jireh—the Lord will provide. (Genesis 22:9-12; 13-14)
  3. Jehovah-shalom—the Lord is Peace. (Judges 6:22-24)
  4. El Elyon= He is your Sovereign or God Most High. El Elyon is first used in Gen 14:18.
  5. El Kanna—The Jealous God. (Exodus 34:14) / (Exodus 20:5)
  6. Jehovah Nissi—He is my banner.

All this name are used to address the Living God.

Now when Our Lord Jesus Christ came to us on this earth he also addressed the Living God, by calling him Our Father in Heaven or Father.

Why did our Lord Jesus Christ address Almighty God as Father instead of God or any of the names in the Word of God {old testament}?

Almighty God is good and great God and always will be.

Matthew 3:17 English Standard Version (ESV)

and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son,[a] with whom I am well pleased.”

Luke 9:35  (ESV)

35 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen One;[a] listen to him!” Now, this scripture tells us, Jesus Chris is the son of God even the demons know that.

Mark 5: 6-7KVS

6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, 7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

With this scriptures, we can say Our Lord Jesus Christ has the right to call The living God Father.

What right do we have to Him Our Father?

In our life, we know that if anybody is affected with HIV/AIDs and his/her blood is transmitted to another person he/she also get affected right. This the same way we always partake in the Lord Supper so now the blood of our Lord Jesus is now in us and we are in him, don’t forget that he told us in John 15:7 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, so this means that we are in him and he is in us so if we will remain there not going out of him we have the right us a son to ask of anything and it shall be given onto us.

Let take one Bible quote here

Luke 22:19

19And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

So now we have the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in us that makes us a son, we no longer live but is Christ that lives in us Galatians 2:20.

So now we know we are a son. let get started on how we can pray to our Father in Heaven the best way and more.

31 SILENT FACTS ABOUT THE RAPTURE

0

Here are 31 silent facets about the Rapture

1. It is going to be the next greatest event that will shock all the continents of the world. Matt 24:40-42.

2. It is going to take place suddenly, abruptly, unexpectedly, without warning and without prior notice. 1 Thess 5:2

3. There shall be no second version of the event. 1 Thess 5:4

4. A greater percentage of Christians may be taken unawares. Matt 24:38-39

5. Careless Christians who miss the event will have no other similar gracious opportunity. Matt 13:49-50

6. The event shall have no regard or respect for ecclesiastical titles or church leadership positions. Matt 5:20

7. It shall be a day when the sheep shall be separated from the goats. Matt 25:32-33.

8. The day shall differentiate between the Broad Way Christians and the Narrow Way Christians. Matt 7:13-14

9. The day shall separate sincerity from hypocrisy. Gal 5:21

10. The day shall differentiate between those who harbour secret sins from those who abhor secret sins. Gal 5:20-21

11. The day shall separate those whose lives are hidden in Christ from those who are hiding in the church. Luke 13:27

12. The day shall show a glaring, clear, conspicuous, demarcation between Christians who walk on the path of holiness from those who walk on the path of worldliness. Heb 12:14

13. It shall be a day of double emotion: joy for some and unimaginable, indescribable, uncontrollable regrets for others. Luke 13:28

14. It shall be a day of surprises- some “Big names” may miss the flight while some “Less known” may be on board. 1 Cor 1:27

15. Another surprise may be that a man or woman who had faithfully served the Lord for many years may defile his or her garment a few minutes before the sound of that summoning trumpet and miss the flight while a notorious sinner may surrender his or her life to Jesus within the same time frame and go to heaven. Ezekiel 3:20

16. This event may happen now, today, this week, this month, this year or next year! Matt 24:36

17. Wise Christians, like the five virgins that took extra oil, are expected to get ready, yes, to get prepared. Matt 25:1-13

18. After the event, all those who are bitter against one another, malicious, unforgiving, jealous, arrogant, haters, hypocrites, drunkards, fornicators, adulterers, adulteresses, murderers with weapons and murderers with tongue etc, shall have enough time to continue in their trade. Heb 12:14-15.

19. When the event is over there shall be revival among those who have chosen to stay behind not because there will be a second chance, no, but because the reality of the event would have struck them like a thunderbolt. But they will have to pay with their own blood. 2 Tim 4:3

20. When the event is over, those who are left behind shall no longer be safe to worship in their gigantic, fanciful and multi-billion Dollars/Naira cathedrals. Instead they shall seek safety in caves, bushes and abandoned and dilapidated but hidden structures. Rev 6:15-17

21. When this great event is over, each time those who will miss their flight manage to gather for worship, they will pay attention to only one sermon- whether they gather in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North or South America; the sermon will only centre on “How to Meet the Divine Standard and Join the Other Saints”. Rev 14:6-7

22. It is also worthy to note that those who will be left behind will never have any business with comedians at their altars anymore. No! There shall no longer be gatherings for entertainments. Whenever, they manage to gather, it shall always be for serious religious business only. Luke 21:34

23. The prayer pattern of those who will be left behind will also undergo a radical change. They will not be praying for things anymore. They will only be praying for strength to withstand the tortures of the Anti-Christ and die bravely to join the other saints. None will be praying for jobs, marriages, etc. Rev 8:3-4

24. It is equally worthy of note that some of those who will miss their flight will not be able to endure the torture of the Anti Christ. They will receive the mark of the beast and thereby be doomed forever. Rev 14:9-11

25. When the ready saints are gone, all our denominational walls of partition will collapse. The man or woman who use to worship in Omega Fire, Jesus Chapel, Exousia Kingdom Gospel Centre, Deeper Life, for instance, will hide in the same place with those who worship in Christ Embassy, Church of God Mission, Assemblies of God, Word Aflame, Action Chapel, Winners Chapel, Lighthouse Chapel etc and nobody will remember to claim superiority anymore because then they will be facing a common enemy. Eph 4:1-6

26. When this event is over, each time believers who will miss their flight manage to gather anywhere for worship, there will be an atmosphere of sobriety. This rowdiness we witness today shall be no more. 1 Peter 4:7, 1 Peter 5:8

27. There shall also be a radical change in the attitude of those who will miss their flight towards Bible study. What we have now is an attitude characterized by a high degree of nonchalance and indifference, but when the ready saints are gone, those who will be left behind will begin to take their bible study seriously. 2 Tim 2:15

28. All the teens and youths who come to church to please their parents will repent after this great event; yes, they will begin to seek God for themselves. Rev 19:5, Rev 20:12.

29. When the event is over, all those who will do any form of business in the schools, hospitals, banks, etc, will have to bear the mark of beast (666) or be hunted down and killed like common criminals. Rev 13:17

30. One of the gains of this reminder is that there may be someone reading this piece today who will take a firm decision to ensure that he/she gets on board that celestial flight travelling to glory. Rev 2:7, 2:11, 2:17, 2:29, 3:6, 3:13, 3:22.

31. However, one of the greatest tragedies of this reminder is that there may be someone too who is reading this piece today but who will see no need to heed this warning. A tragedy indeed! Rev 22:11-12

Totally Trust and believe in God Our Father in Heaven

0

What is trust?

Trust means to count on or rely upon God, someone or something.

You can’t trust someone if you don’t believe in them and if you believe in something is different from trust in that thing. I believe you are human beings but I don’t trust you, that you can help me to the end.

In trust, we put in our hope, confident, we depend on, not only that but also we expect something out of it. What do you mean by totally trust in God? What I mean by totally trust in God is to put God first in all things, even at the point of death.

If we put our hope, confident, believe, depend on and expecting something out of it, let all this be put in God, in all situations. Before we read our first Bible quote, let me give one illustration.

where is it

1} In our homes, we have some children who keep asking questions upon questions, why? “Because” they believe that the person they are “asking” the question will give them the correct answers.

2} Some children also will ask where is it, when they are been sent, even what they are looking for is right in front of them, why? Because they believe and trust that their parents know everything and even where they are in the house.

Let talk our first Bible Quote:

Psalm 20 vs 7  Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we depend on the LORD our God. (NET) This quote let us understand and know that some people put their trust in many things, like they trust their cars, can take them to their destination but your car can not get there without God protections, the Holy word of God says God cares for both good and bad people else will.

Not only that but other things like money, property, friends, Pastors, coworkers etc people put their trust in them. But we depend on or trust in the Lord our God, why? Because he is the living God, He is the beginning and the end and the are no one likes him, Now let takes some word from our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Matthew: 6 vs

26 Look at the birds in the sky. They don’t plant or harvest or gather food into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. You are more valuable than they are, aren’t you?

31 “So don’t ever worry by saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’

32 because it is the unbelievers who are eager for all those things. Surely your heavenly Father knows that you need all of them! Here our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth is telling us that, if we totally trust in God our Father in Heaven he will take care of us and our needs.

(ISV) Proverbs 3 vs

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs is telling us, to totally trust God with all our heart,

Meaning: If you trust God tell him your secret

If you trust God tell him your secret

If we totally trust in God our Lord, every morning we will play to Him and wait for His answer, when we make our plans for our home, work, finances, for our children and other things we will submit it to Him and wait for His final plan for us. And when He gave us his plan for our lives, work, finances, church, children and other we will accept it in good faith and think him.

Just imagine this, when you close from work and God willing you get home the first thing you do is kneel down and pray telling God what happened from morning till close, keep doing it every day for 6 months or more and see the relationship you will build in the Lord God, not only after work but in the morning tell him, what happened in the night when you wake up what you did before going back to sleep, what you dreamed about and many other. Telling God about it in prayers.

When you build the relationship with your Lord your God, you will know what God has for you and your family, things will totally change in your family.

Because you trust in God that is why you tell him everything about you to him, yes truly he knows everything, but he still asks;

Genesis 3 vs 9 “Where are you?” and Mark 10 vs 51 “What do you want Me to do for you?”

If you don’t trust him you can not tell him anything about yourself and your business others to God, without trusting him you will think to pray to him you are delaying or wasting your time. Or you just ask him for things you want.

This is the end of part one trust in God.

No one who will tell lies against you

PSALM 14

1 Only fools think there is no God.
People like that are evil and do terrible things.
They never do what is right.

2 The LORD looks down from heaven
to see if there is anyone who is wise,
anyone who looks to him for help.

3 But everyone has gone the wrong way.
Everyone has turned bad.
No one does anything good.
No, not one person!

4 Those who are evil treat my people like bread to be eaten.
And they never ask for the LORD’S help.
Don’t they know what they are doing?

5 They will have plenty to fear,
because God is with those who do what is right.

6 You wicked people want to spoil the hopes of the poor,
but the LORD will protect them.

7 I wish the one who lives on Mount Zion
would bring victory to Israel!
When the LORD makes his people successful again,
the people of Jacob will be happy;
the people of Israel will be glad.

1 How long will you forget me, LORD?
Will you forget me forever?
How long will you refuse to accept me?*

2 How long must I wonder if you have forgotten me?
How long must I feel this sadness in my heart?
How long will my enemy win against me?

3 LORD my God, look at me and give me an answer.
Make me feel strong again, or I will die.

4 If that happens, my enemy will say, “I beat him!”
He will be so happy that he won.
5 But I trust in your faithful love, Lord.
I will be happy when you save me.

To the director: With the sheminith. A song of David.
1 Save me, LORD!
We can no longer trust anyone!
All the good, loyal people are gone.

2 People lie to their neighbors.
They say whatever they think people want to hear.

3 The LORD should cut off their lying lips
and cut out their bragging tongues.

4 Those people think they can win any argument.
They say, “We are so good with words,
no one will be our master.”

5 They took advantage of the poor
and stole what little they had.
But the LORD knows what they did, and he says,
“I will rescue those who are poor and helpless,
and I will punish those who hurt them.”*

6 The LORD’S words are true and pure,
like silver purified by fire,
like silver melted seven times to make it perfectly pure.

7 LORD, take care of the helpless.
Protect them forever from the wicked people in this world.

8 The wicked are all around us,
and everyone thinks evil is something to be praised!

To the director: A song of David.
1 I trust in the LORD, so why did you tell me to run and hide?
Why did you say, “Fly like a bird to your mountain?”

2 Like hunters, the wicked hide in the dark.
They get their bows ready and aim their arrows.
They shoot at good, honest people.

3 What would good people do
if the wicked destroyed all that is good?*

4 The LORD is in his holy temple.
The LORD sits on his throne in heaven.
He sees everything that happens.
He watches people closely.

5 The LORD examines those who are good and those who are wicked;
he hates those who enjoy hurting others.

6 He will make hot coals and burning sulfur fall like rain on the wicked.
They will get nothing but a hot, burning wind.

7 The LORD always does what is right, and he loves seeing people do right.
Those who live good lives will be with him.†

1 LORD, why do you stay so far away?
Why do you hide from people in times of trouble?

2 The wicked are proud and make evil plans to hurt the poor,
who are caught in their traps and made to suffer.

3 Those greedy people brag about the things they want to get.
They curse the LORD and show that they hate him.

4 The wicked are too proud to ask God for help.
He does not fit into their plans.

5 They succeed in everything they do.
They don’t understand how you can judge them.
They make fun of all their enemies.

6 They say to themselves, “Nothing bad will ever happen to us.
We will have our fun and never be punished.”

7 They are always cursing, lying,
and planning evil things to do.

8 They hide just outside the villages,
waiting to kill innocent people,
always looking for any helpless person they can hurt.

9 They are like lions hiding in the bushes
to catch weak and helpless animals.
They lay their traps for the poor,
who are caught in their nets.

10 Again and again they hurt people
who are already weak and suffering.

11 They say to themselves, “God has forgotten about us.
He is not watching.
He will never see what we are doing.”

12 LORD, get up and do something.
Punish those who are wicked, God.
Don’t forget those who are poor and helpless.

13 The wicked turn against God
because they think he will not punish them.

14 But, Lord, you do see the pain and suffering they cause.
You see it, so punish them.
Those who were left helpless put their trust in you.
After all, you are the one who cares for orphans.

15 Break the arms of those who are wicked and evil.
Punish them for the evil they have done,
and stop them from doing any more.

16 LORD, you are King forever and ever,
so I know you will remove the wicked nations from your land.

17 LORD, you have heard what the poor want.
Listen to their prayers, and do what they ask.

18 Protect the orphans and those who have been hurt.
Don’t let powerful people drive us from our land!

1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart.
I will tell about the wonderful things you have done.

2 You make me happy, so I will rejoice in you.
God Most High, I praise your name.

3 My enemies turned to run from you,
but they fell and were destroyed.

4 You listened to me from your throne like a good judge,
and you decided that I was right.

5 You told the nations how wrong they were.
You destroyed those evil people.
You erased their names from our memory forever and ever.

6 The enemy is finished!
You destroyed their cities.
There is nothing left to remind us of them.

7 The LORD set up his throne to bring justice,
and he will rule forever.

8 He judges everyone on earth fairly.
He judges all nations honestly.

9 Many people are suffering—
crushed by the weight of their troubles.
But the LORD is a refuge for them,
a safe place they can run to.

10 LORD, those who know your name
come to you for protection.
And when they come,
you do not leave them without help.

11 Sing praises to the LORD, who sits as King in Zion.‡
Tell the nations about the great things he has done.

12 He punishes murderers
and remembers those who are in need.
When suffering people cry for help,
he does not ignore them.

13 I said this prayer: “LORD, be kind to me.
See how my enemies are hurting me.
Save me from the ‘gates of death.’

14 Then, at the gates of Jerusalem,§ I can sing praises to you.
I will be so happy because you saved me.”

15 Those other nations have fallen into the pit they dug to catch others.
They have been caught in their own trap.

16 The LORD showed that he judges fairly.
The wicked were caught by what they did to hurt others.

17 The wicked will go to the place of death,
as will all the nations that forget God.

18 It may seem that those who are poor and needy have been forgotten,
but God will not forget them.
He will not leave them without hope.

19 LORD, get up† and judge the nations.
Don’t let anyone think they can win against you.

20 Teach them a lesson, LORD.
Let them know they are only human.
